Privacy Policy
RepEat LLC ("RepEat," "we," "us") makes the RepEat app and the website at repeatcoach.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, and the choices you have. Questions: support@repeatcoach.com.
- We collect what you give us to build and run your plan: your profile, goals, food logs, workouts and weigh-ins.
- Photos and text you send to AI features are processed by OpenAI to give you an answer.
- We don't sell your data and don't use it for advertising.
- You can delete your account and data at any time in the app (Me → Settings → Delete account).
- RepEat is a tracking tool, not medical advice.
What we collect
Account information
- Your name, email address and sign-in method (email and password, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google).
- Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication. We never see or store your password.
- If you use Sign in with Apple and choose "Hide My Email," we receive a private relay address that forwards to you.
Your plan and profile
- Answers from the onboarding quiz and your settings: sex, birthday, height, weight, goal weight, goal date or pace, activity level, training experience and frequency, fitness and nutrition knowledge, motivations, past approaches and challenges, meal routine, coaching style, diet style, protein preference, food allergies and intolerances, foods you dislike, units, and time zone.
- Your calorie and macro targets, and any higher-calorie days you choose.
- If you answer the quiz question about prescription weight-loss medication, that answer is used only during the quiz and is not saved to your account.
What you log
- Food entries, saved meals and recipes, ingredients (including barcodes, label nutrition and micronutrients), daily notes, weigh-ins, workouts, exercises, your training split and templates, and any sleep entries you've logged.
Photos and AI requests
- When you use AI features (reading a nutrition label, estimating a meal from a photo, looking up a restaurant order, generating recipes, suggesting exercises, or asking AI Help), we send the photo or text, plus the context needed for that request (for example your saved ingredients, targets, allergies and diet preferences), to our AI provider to produce the result.
- We don't keep label photos after the result is returned. When you save a meal you photographed, or add your own photo to a meal, we store that photo as the meal's picture until you replace or remove it, delete the meal, or delete your account. Recipes without your photo get an AI-generated picture made from the meal's name and ingredients.
- Recipe images generated for your saved recipes are stored with your account.
- Profile photo and display name: stored with your account and checked by an automated moderation service before they're saved.
Friends
- If you use Friends, we store your friend code and your friend connections. Friends can see your display name and profile photo.
- Friends, and people in groups you belong to, can see the recipes and workouts in your library, save copies of them, and compare training stats (workouts, total weight lifted, streaks, estimated best lifts and badges) with theirs. You can turn this off for recipes, and for workouts and stats, separately under Me → Friends → Friend privacy.
- Groups: when you create or join a group, its members see your display name, profile photo and food-logging streak. Posts, photos and comments you share in a group are visible to everyone in it; public groups can be found and joined by anyone. You can delete your own posts and comments at any time, and the group owner can remove posts, comments and members.
- Safety: group names, descriptions and photos, posts, comments, display names and profile photos are checked by an automated moderation service before they're saved, and anything inappropriate is refused. You can report posts, comments and people, and block anyone; reports (including what was reported and by whom) are kept so we can review them.
- Share links: when you share a recipe or workout by link, anyone who opens the link can see a short summary on our website (its name, your first name, the recipe photo, and calories and protein, or the first few exercises). Anyone with RepEat can open it in full and save a copy, even if you've turned off sharing with friends. You can turn a link off at any time; copies people already saved stay with them.
- Referral codes: if you sign up with a friend's or creator's code, we record which code you used so we can credit them. A friend code also adds you as friends.
AI Help
- We store the questions you ask AI Help, the answers, and your helpful or not-helpful rating, so we can improve answers.
- AI-written answers (without your question or any information that identifies you) may be kept and reused to improve help for everyone.
Usage, device and diagnostics
- How many AI actions you've used each day (to apply daily limits).
- App events, such as finishing the quiz or viewing the subscription screen, device type, operating system, app version, and approximate region, via Firebase Analytics.
- Crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics.
- A push notification token if you allow notifications.
Purchases
- Subscriptions are purchased through Apple or Google. We receive your subscription status (for example active, renewing or cancelled) through our subscription provider. We never see your card or payment details.
Contacting us
- If you email support, we keep the conversation to help you.
This website
- repeatcoach.com doesn't use tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
- It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them.
- Our host, Cloudflare, processes basic request data to serve the site and protect it from abuse.
How we use information
- To create your plan, calculate targets, and run the features you use.
- To provide AI features you request.
- To show friends your name and photo when you connect.
- To send reminders and notifications you've turned on.
- To send product tips and offers by email only if you opted in. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To understand how the app is used, fix crashes, prevent abuse, and keep the service secure.
- To meet legal obligations.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Who helps us run RepEat
We share information only with service providers that process it for us under their own privacy and security commitments:
| Provider | What they do |
|---|---|
| Google Firebase / Google Cloud (United States) | Sign-in, database, server functions, file storage, analytics, crash reports |
| OpenAI | Processes AI requests, and moderates names, photos, group content, posts and comments. Under OpenAI's API terms, data sent through the API isn't used to train their models by default. |
| Open Food Facts | Public food database. Receives barcode numbers and search terms you look up, not your identity. |
| Apple and Google | App distribution, payments, Sign in with Apple and Google, push notifications |
| RevenueCat | Manages subscription status |
| Resend | Sends account emails, follow-ups and opted-in marketing emails |
| Google Workspace | Our support email |
| Cloudflare | Hosts this website |
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety of users or others, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger. If that happens, this policy continues to apply to your information.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored in the United States on Google Cloud.
How long we keep it
- We keep your information while your account is active.
- When you delete your account, we delete your profile, logs, saved meals and recipes, recipe images, workouts, friend connections and friend code, share links, group memberships, posts and comments, and AI Help history.
- Residual copies in backups and service-provider logs are removed on their normal schedules (generally within 30 days).
Your choices and rights
- Access, export or correct: most of your information is visible and editable in the app. For a copy of your data, email us.
- Delete: Me → Settings → Delete account, or email us.
- Marketing email: unsubscribe from any email or change the setting in the app.
- Notifications: turn them off in the app or in your phone's settings.
- Analytics: you can opt out of app analytics by emailing us.
Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, and to complain to a regulator. We honor these requests; email support@repeatcoach.com. We won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Children
RepEat is for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Health information
Your goals, weight and food logs can be sensitive. We use them only to provide the service as described here. RepEat doesn't provide medical advice; talk to a doctor before making big changes to your diet or exercise.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards: encrypted connections, access rules that limit each account to its own data, and server-side protection of AI credentials. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Changes
If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date and notify you in the app or by email before the changes take effect.
